>*You step carefully through a tangling mat of corn detritus (de-TRY-tus) - the discarded stalks, leaves and cobs that once stood crowded to fill this dusty **anfractuosity**.*

>*"It's called Stover." Jonah informs through the darkness ahead, a hint of disappointment escapes his restraint as he inspects an ear of corn, strong fingers expertly feeling beneath its husk like a doctor searching for a pulse in someone's wrist for the thousanth time.*

>*30 feet beyond where Jonah stands, the passage is terminated by a roiling blackness. As you draw nearer, you hear a screeching whirlwind of crows - thousands of beating wings racing through the darkness with speed that fills the air with pulsating violence.*

>*You focus through the swarm to find the other side of the clearing, and see a familiar set of three paths leaving the junction....*
# Session Summary
Proceeding through the maize maze, the party first handles a set of Martha and William doppelgangers. Advancing to the next junction, they are met with a swarm of crows that they carefully navigate through, with a number of the party members using their abilities to distract the swarming crows. Once through, they successfully discover the correct path using Ember's raven familiar, and continue on. The next junction is littered with many dead bodies, all bearing some sort of fungal corn that is bursting from all over their bodies. In the middle of the clearing, a crazy looking young woman stands ready to attack.
The party insightfully realizes that this is likely Adelaide, and a fight ensues where the party wisely navigates around the fungal corn bodies scattered throughout the clearing. Louis sneaks up on Adelaide, hiding beneath the stover that they've been hampered by in their movement. In an incredible feat, he crawls beneath her and delivers the death blow from behind her ankles! It's fucking insane - 50 something damage crit!!! After defeating Addy, the party tries to commune with the dead bodies, and find that they're in some sort of magical realm that serves as Raum's domain. They task Jonah, who is having no trouble navigating the corn, to carry Addy's body for the rest of the way forward.
In transit to the next junction they find some reagents (bimbap 2 - seraphine 1?) before arriving at the clearing...
>*You break free from the maze’s twisting paths and step into a large crop circle where the corn is carved into arcane sigils and demonic eyes. At the center stands a scarecrow—burlap head, straw hat, and a rusty cage for a chest. Slowly, it swivels toward you, and in a trembling, terrified whisper, it says, “Virgil is coming! Too late for me. No, gosh, no… he’s here! You gotta get out of—!”*

>*The scarecrow’s body erupts into a great abomination of black feathers, twisted metal, and ragged burlap, a horrific demon that lets out a high pitched screech followed by rapid clicking. A guttural voice crows out, “Feed me your secrets, your flesh, your souls, your power!” Raum, The Harvest Terror, spreads four black wings and lunges forward with its rusted claw and scythe appendages raised high toward the fiendish harvest moon above.*
