# Session Start >*After defeating the soulfire stoker, the ghost light express quickly tore itself to pieces, sending passengers tumbling into the woods, and dashing into the mighty oak forest like dropped playing cards all throughout the trees. Coming to their senses, the party found themselves under the eerie moonlight of a strange and crooked moon.* > >*While spending a moment assessing the damage, the group notices that they feel oddly stronger under the light of this new moon, and in some cases an object in their possession has undergone a transformation as well. (level up, new item changes)* # Session Summary The party finds themselves newly "enhanced" under the light of the moon, and learn about the situation with the ghostlight express from the vagrant.  They spend some time searching in the tree line for the missing soul cans, quickly finding them and bringing them back to the disabled train.  Little did they know, Godfrey Thornfield, a righteous curseborn druid, was watching this go down from the woods.  Soon after returning with the cans, the vagrant began depositing them into the tender of the Ghostlight Express, when the final creeping tendrils of the Phantom Trainhopper found their way into the train once again, bringing it to life with a terrible rictus grin! The ghostly train then attacked the party, doing a great deal of damage that was thankfully mitigated by Godfrey, who burst from the woods to handle this lost soul.  With a final stabbing trident blow delivered by Bimbap directly to the tender, the ghostly presence in the train was defeated, leaving Bimbap to make an acrobatic escape into the cool moonlight.  Thrilled about their performance, and seemingly having lost his own supernatural powers, Phillip rewarded the party with wondrous items from his luggage to thank them for their efforts.  Phillip then requested that they help to escort him and his wife to the nearby village of Druskenvald, recalling that the local mayor once sent him a telegram to invite the Druskenvalds to their humble town and inform them that an estate in Wickermoor Village has been bequeathed to them as a sign of appreciation. After collecting themselves, and acquainting with their new compatriot, the party began making their way to Wickermoor Hollow.  Upon arriving at the dreary town, however, it became clear that a sacrifice was underway!  Tied to the ground near a great tree in the center of the town square, a humanlike figure appeared to be bleating out in response to a group of approaching wolves! The party did their best to try and dissuade the wolves, with Godfrey wild shaping into the form of a wolf, and Seraphine using her Horned King background to try and appeal to them, but the wolves seemed to be supernaturally aggressive, and driven into an inexorable stupor, hell bent on their mission to fulfill the sacrifice to "the queen".  Seeing that Seraphine is a follower of the horned king, the wolves encouraged her to perform the sacrifice herself, again leaving her at a difficult crossroads.  Giving in to her patrons desire, Seraphine then bit through the manakin, devouring the baby goat within, and luckily encouraging the wolves enough for them to go on their way. The mayor of Wickermoor then emerged from a nearby building, explaining that this ritual is just part of their ancient traditions, and thanked the party for helping to aid in the feeding of the sacrificial blood to the thirsty earth and roots of the sacred tree.  He invited the Druskenvalds to their Manor, which they have been keeping with the help of a family of servants, and they obliged, inviting the party to dinner the following night on as they left.  The mayor then offered them each 10 gold to cover the costs of room and board for the evening before directing them to the local inn.
